A richly-layered reimagining of a hand-selected vintage illustration by Australian illustrator Ida Rentoul Outhwaite in 1925, Bubbles of Wonder has been lovingly restored, enhanced, and artistically transformed in the Bloom & Wonder studio into an entirely new collector’s piece.
The original vintage illustration is kept at the heart of the work, which is then transformed into an even more immersive and imaginative composition: enhanced colors, luminous atmospheric effects, whimsical botanical details, reflective water, an iridescent bubble, and small delights- like a small spider tucked into the scene- all come together to enhance the piece while feeling like it always belonged there.
All of these details are intentionally composed to honor the beauty and spirit of the original source, as well as be distinctly Bloom & Wonder, resulting in a piece that feels both nostalgic and new.
The final artwork is then produced as archival, museum-quality fine art by our professional print partner in Texas, USA. Every material and finishing detail is intentionally specified by Bloom & Wonder — from the giclee inks and fine art paper to the torn deckled edge, reflection-control glass, and frame profile.
